MIRABILIA DEI FOUDATION INC. THE MIRABILIA DEI CHILDREN’S CHOIR, STRING ORCHESTRA AND RONDALLA



The first set of violinists of the Mirabilia Dei String Orchestra (MDSO) started in 2006 under Mr. Rodolfo Palma of Bacolor, Pampanga. The orchestra was completed two years after where some of the members learned to play other string instruments which include the viola, cello and double bass. 

Five of the Mirabilia members were granted full scholarship to study Music Education with String Principal or emphasis in Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass. These members are all professional teachers now and three of them are members of the Manila Symphony Orchestra, one of the leading professional orchestras in the Philippines. They are also the one who took over the Chamber group or String orchestra after Mr. Palma left in 2010. Recently, the MDSO were invited to participate in the 3rd Youth Orchestra Festival last May 10-12 this year. It was a 3-day workshop and festival held at St. Scholastica's College, Manila, School of Music, and the culminating concert was held at the Resorts World Manila together with the different orchestras from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
